GOOD CUSTOM
This machine originally belonged to Bud Grant who owned a local Harley-Davidson dealership in Canada. It has distinct heavy lines and it is interesting that it was built in a manner that combined the classic geometry of the period with the 1952 power plant that rests within it. For many, the rigid back end and girder forks represent one of the most important and successful eras of motorcycle design. The lack of weight in the construction being a key consideration compared to what was approaching. This machine in many ways relates to Lot 15, as they both underscore a time when the world was recovering from the wounds of war and a generation wanted to make something of its very own. For many, this desire was expressed through their custom-builds which carried them away from recent memories and into a sense of future.
