"I consider making jewellery as an exercise in building or growing objects, and using a process based method of making, economy of construction is of primary concern. Working mainly in metal, the outcome of the object is inextricably connected with how it is constructed. Landscapes and forms in the natural world such as crystals, rocks and minerals are of great interest to me and therefore inform my work. Man made influences such as architecture and machinery from my city surroundings also appear from time to time, as I experiment with scale, structure and surface treatments."
