Handwritten note from the renowned explorer to A S Collins.
On bifolium notepaper of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition. Wear, creasing, soiling and FX. Inscription: 'To A S Collins. / Erratic from Erebus / E H Shackleton.' Presumably once accompanied a photograph or similar token. A S Collins, grandfather of the current owner of the note, was Managing Director of a Wellington shipping company. G.
