Judy Darragh emerged as an artist in the late 1980's. Renowned for embracing low art in high places, kitch in witty sculptural assemblages her work spans an extensive range of media and exhibition contexts. Crossing video, photography, collage and installation; using found, made, synthetic and industrial materials; working in two and three dimensions and occupying shopfronts, artist run spaces gallery. Darragh's art has continued to engage vigoursly with contemporary understandings of sex, politics, good taste and practise.
