Born in Auckland New Zealand, half Samoan and half European, this cross cultural lineage has become the pivotal point of Lela'ulu's work. Nanette has been exhibiting since 1990, solo and group shows, work is owned by the Tribaou Cultural centre New Caledonia, The Museum Ethnology, in Frankfurt Germany, with private collections in NZ, Australia and the US. Nanette has a masters in Arts in Arts Therapy with First Class Honours. Was the creative New Zealand Artist in residence for the Cook Islands in 2006.
