James Pinker is a musician and photographer. In 2003 he collaborated with English photographer Mark McClean on a project to document over two weekends the diverse community of Otara. The subsequent exhibition was held in Otara and went on to Te Tuhi, Brisbane Museum and Cambridge University, UK.
