Repoussé work and piercing to outer case, piercing to inner case. Both cases of gilt or pinchbeck. Movement signed CABRIER, London indicating that the maker was a member of the Cabrier family recorded in Britten's list of former clock and watch makers as being active throughout the 1700's. This example probably Circa 1750. Key wound fuseé with verge escapement. White enamel dial with Roman chapters and outer 5 minute markers in Arabic. Milled inner bezel. Bruising to enamel at lip and also around screws. Going. With Breguet style safety key (rachet regrettably locked).
