Oceanic and African Arts

WED 28 MAR 2012 - 6:00PM
Further entries now invited

Webb’s first major tribal event for 2012 will see several significant international collections presented. In addition to a selection of Maori taonga including two important cloaks and a historically important Tekoteko, the catalogue will include a lifetime collection of Oceanic fish hooks, a quality selection of Melanesian and Polynesian tribal art works, and two international collections of African art.

Entries are now invited to complement this event to be held on 28 March 2012.

Over 2011 Webb's offered the very best examples of Maori, Oceanic, African and North American artifacts, the quality and breadth of which is rarely seen in New Zealand.  Click here for a summary of Webb's Oceanic and African Arts department highlights in 2011.
