Webb’s is please to confirm the inclusion of this extremely rare pre contact whale bone Rei Puta. Found on Stuart Island during the early 1940’s this remarkable example of archaic adornment has already attracted great interest from both local and international academics and collectors alike.
Webb’s is currently preparing for its next Oceanic Artifacts sale which includes over 300 de-accessioned oceanic artifacts from a USA based museum. This aspect of the sale will also offer an important collection of Central Australian Tjurunga.
