Highlights include $45,625.00 paid for the Peter Stichbury, Lily Donaldson an acrylic from 2007 (record price for the artist on the auction market), $86,687.50 for the Don Binney Kokako, Tiritiri Matangi, $63,875.00 for the Dick Frizzell Hut Interior. All the works by Shane Cotton in the sale sold under the hammer with the exception of the very early Gathering, Genesis $51,328.13, Blue/White $33,078.13, Island $33,078.13 and Trance at $33,078.13. Works priced in the under $20,000 category also sold very well including the Gregor Kregar, Coloured Gnome Trio $6,387.50, Max Gimblett, Comrade $14,257.8, Chris Charteris, Kouma Breastplate $5,703.13.
