A Large 19th Century Japanese Ivory Tusk Vase on Base
the massive curved section is well carved with a procession of ten figures amidst a landscape of buildings and pine trees. All this on a very finely pierced quatrefoil diaper patterned background. Minor faults. The oval ivory lid is missing its carved figure finial. H.240mm, including wooden base.
