Condition Reports

If you would like additional information on a particular lot or are unable to attend the viewing, Webb’s will be pleased to provide a condition report. This assessment can include the inspection of an item under ultraviolet light and will outline whether the item has undergone past restoration and whether it carries any damage. Please contact the department that is handling the piece to request a condition report.

A condition report is a statement of Webb’s opinion and should not be relied on as definitive fact. We remind prospective buyers that descriptions of property are not warranties and that each lot is sold as is. The condition of items is not detailed in catalogues or online. Buyers must satisfy themselves as to the condition of lots on which they bid and should refer to clause 6 in the Conditions of Sale for Buyers printed at the back of the catalogues.
