Commission Rates and Other Information 

Viewings

Due to the care we take in checking all wines prior to putting them up for sale we no longer have viewing of the wines on offer. If there is a label or fill condition then it is stated in the catalogue. As we do not accept marginal wines there is no need to view them. All wines are in perfect collector's condition unless otherwise stated. 

Delivery Charges

Peter Baker Transport (PBT) Couriers is used exclusively for all wine sent from Webb's. If you wish to consign wine to us we recommend you make contact with your local PBT Courier 

Case lots (12 x 750ml bottles, or part thereof) of wine can be delivered to Webb’s at the following rates:

Auckland - $6.50 per case.

North Island - $16.50 per case.

South Island - $18.00 per case.

It is policy that all deliveries require a Freight Disclaimer signed by the buyer prior
to dispatch.  

Absentee Bids

If you cannot attend an auction, you can complete and return by fax or mail an Absentee Bidding Form. Please note that a valid Master card or Visa card details are required. Payment Terms

EFTPOS, cheque or money transfer are also acceptable forms of payment.
Payment by Visa and MasterCard is accepted.
All purchases must be paid for within two days of the auction.

Seller's commission: 15% is charged on all lots sold through Webb's Fine Wine Department.
Buyer's premium: 15% is charged on the hammer price of all lots sold through Webb's Fine Wine Department.Good and services Tax (12.5%) is payable on both the seller's commission and buyer's premium.
