Once you have received an appraisal of your items and made the decision to consign your item(s) into an auction, you will be provided with an Agreement of Sale Contract. This is to be completed, signed and returned to Webb’s. Additional charges, which include the cataloguing and marketing fee, insurance and Webb’s commission, will be discussed and agreed on between the vendor and Webb’s.
A specialist will discuss with you the most appropriate auction to include your items in, to ensure optimum exposure. We will inform you of the date and time of the auction. Delivery or shipping As the consignor, the vendor is responsible for packing and shipping and transit insurance charges. Webb’s is happy to offer shipping and delivery reccommendations to ensure your items are delivered safely and in the most cost-effective manner. Webb’s will inform you when we require the items to arrive at our premises, in time for photographing, cataloguing and marketing the auction. For our packing and delivery recomendations, please do not hesitate to contact the department you are dealing with.
Using an extensive client database, innovative marketing and a state-of-the-art saleroom, Webb’s will work towards achieving the highest possible result for you. Shortly after the sale, Webb’s will provide a report detailing your sold or unsold item(s) and prices realised for everything you consigned. Provided Webb’s is in receipt of cleared funds from the buyer, payment will be processed within ten working days of the sale. The vendor is to provide Webb’s with their preferred means for payment.
