Forthcoming Online Auctions

Wine Online | 22 – 26 July

Following on from our record-breaking live auction last month, with our highest-value & rarest lots ever sold, we present an exciting though more accessible selection of bottles to engage every drinker.

Don’t miss out on the most affordable New Zealand & Australian wines on offer. Highlights include the rare 2014 Felton Road Block 5 and the Elvish 2012 Dorwinion Pinot Noir. This is a bottle of wine given to the stars of the The Hobbit films by director Peter Jackson, presented in a handmade wooden case crafted by Weta Workshop, and featuring a Dwarvish ‘Gold’ Coin pinched from Smaug’s treasure.

Amongst the Bordeaux collection it is with particular delight that we offer two bottles of 2012 Petrus in OWC, a great opportunity to invest in your drinking future. Since 2016 the average price of this wine has grown by 39% and over $1,300. Here’s an idea: buy both, keep them for five years, drink one and offer the other at auction. Smart money and fantastic drinking.

A couple of historically significant bottles are making their first appearances at auction in New Zealand: A bottle of 1795 Terrantez from Madeira, sourced from the cellars of St Catherine’s College, Cambridge & an 1867 Courvoisier Cognac. There is more fascinating information and an article in the descriptions of these lots.
