Luxury Furnishings Go Well Under The Hammer

The furnishings from one of Auckland’s most exclusive and luxury homes went under the hammer last night in front of a packed saleroom at Mossgreen-Webb’s.

The auction achieved 100% sold by lot and a staggering 234% sold by value.

Sale highlights include a Louis XVI Style Three-Drawer Commode which had a pre-auction estimate of $3,000 – $4,000 and sold for $7,637, a Marble Topped Table with a pre-auction estimate of $1,000 – $2,000, sold for $5,875, and Two Chests which sold for $6,462 against a pre-auction estimate of $1,500 – $2,000.

Other exceptional results were an Ebonised Centre Table which sold for $6,168, and two matching table lamps which had a pre–auction estimate of $200 – $300 and sold for $3,877.
