With experience gained across three continents and in some of the most prestigious luxury retailers in the world, our Fine Jewels, Watches & Luxury Accessories team are known for their deep industry knowledge and relationships with their clients—as well as bringing the brightest smiles and most splendid outfits to the Webb’s gallery.

Our team of specialists work closely to curate and present high-quality auctions. These are the people in charge of assessing, appraising, documenting and finding new homes for your most precious objects of adornment.

Christine is our Head of Fine Jewels, Watches & Luxury Accessories and brings to the team over 29 years of experience in the jewellery industry, with a breadth of qualifications including the highly coveted Diamond Grader and AJP GIA qualifications as well as a diploma in Fashion Design.

 Sourcing products both regionally and internationally for the bespoke jewellery and wholesale sectors, also a business development role with Lester Brand enabled a career progression in the role of boutique manager for Partridge Jewellers, Newmarket a position Christine held with distinction for sixteen years.  Christine worked closely with international jewellery maison’s and Swiss watch brands, forming a specialty in Rolex and Tudor. Christine joined the team as head in April 2022.

Sam is our Manager of Fine Jewels, Watches, & Luxury Accessories.

He brings to Webb's a high level of expertise in luxury goods, honed through 20 years in luxury retail, 14 of which were spent specialising in the sale of watches and jewellery. His background includes roles at prestigious United Kingdom retailers such as Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, London Knightsbridge Rolex boutique, Smythson of Bond street, and David M Robinson Jewellers, as well Partridge Jewellers here in New Zealand.

Sam holds a Jewellery AJP diploma from the GIA, and his particular area of expertise is in watches and horology, specialising in both modern and vintage timepieces.

Marcela has over 25 years’ experience in the jewellery industry.

She started her career in South America in the family gemstone wholesale business, which led her to train as a Graduate Gemmologist at GIA’s Santa Monica, California in 1995. Then in the 2000s, she managed her own jewellery business in Ft Lauderdale Florida for over five years, and then a Gemmological laboratory in Colombia for a decade.

After moving to New Zealand she worked with recognised brands such as Rolex and, following her passion for jewellery, joined Webb’s in 2019 as the Fine Jewels & Watches Specialist.

Sarah Barty’s background stems from a career in textiles, a business in Sarah Grey jewellery & accessories (8 years) wholesaling for some 20 years and owner of Little Stitch boutique (7 years) showcasing exclusive brands from the US. Inspired by her father who was a manufacturing jeweller, Sarah has always appreciated a level of design and exacting workmanship.  

Sarah’s expertise enables an appraisal of luxury accessories, ensuring your pieces meet the standards of authenticity and quality. Her focus and values is on building strong client relationships and provides a memorable experience for both vendors and buyers.

With a penchant for exceptional items and an eye for timeless style and design, Sarah is inspired by the ever-evolving fashion and luxury industry.



Anne Xu

Anne Xu’s background includes a family of ceramic artists and writers, which has defined her early interest in craftsmanship and luxury.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in art and a master’s in management. Anne is GIA-certified as an Applied Jewellery Professional (AJP) and Graduate Diamonds (GD) and is completing the Graduate Gemmologist (G.G.) programme.

She focuses on providing our clients with a thoughtful, reliable service and works closely to ensure each auction catalogue is well-managed, on time, and handled with care.
