Leading the sale, estimated at $180,000–$200,000, is Percy Marks' Colour of the Kimberleys, an important sculptural choker designed by Jennie Lo Russo for the Australian Gemmological Association Jewellery Competition and handcrafted in 18-carat white, yellow and rose gold, set with twenty-five natural diamonds documented as originating from the Argyle Diamond Mine. Spanning the pinks, brownish-pinks, browns and whites for which Argyle became renowned, and accompanied by its original presentation case, 2001 Percy Marks valuation and a contemporary GemLab valuation, the necklace captures a pivotal moment in Australia's diamond history.
